KONA BIG WAVE

Nobody grabs Kona for parties, but festival tickets sell out instantly. We promoted the Big Wave Bonfire ticket giveaway by turning the beer into a shuffling festival circuit aux cord.
 

Brand awareness for Anheuser-Busch’s Kona Big Wave sits at 56%. Where better to associate it with social gatherings than the country’s most popular summer music festivals, where everyone probably has a beer in hand already?

We gave out free tickets to the likes of Gov Ball and Lollapalooza by spoofing the Spotify UI, turning the beer into a remote control that takes us on a journey to all six partner music festivals.


The art direction of this spot was inspired by a CapCut filter I saw on TikTok. During Gov Ball, my FYP also told me that our partner artist Wallows accidentally gave out Kona Big Waves to underage fans... which is called building brand loyalty while they’re young.
